+# How cruel can life be for someone?
|
|

+I had a perfect life. All seemed to be in place and I was working on my dreams. The primary needs and wants were all taken care of - loving husband, good child, happy parents, close friends, houses, cars, enough money, insurances, etc.
|
|
|
+
|
|
|
+I was the queen I wanted to be until 2021.
|
|
|
+
|
|
|
+Then the life took a turn and I was diagnosed with Stage IV Lung Cancer.
|
|
|
+
|
|
|
+It followed a period of extreme sickness.
|
|
|
+
|
|
|
+I gained back some strength and lots of courage to fight it out.
|
|
|
+
|
|
|
+
|
|
|
+The fight was going great until another big turn. Neuropathic side effects - I started losing the ability to walk.
|
|
|
+
|
|
|
+
|
|
|
+Then I was on wheelchair completely. I also lost control over my bladder.
|
|
|
+
|
|
|
+
|
|
|
+What followed was a series of UTI and a significant loss of strength, control, and sense in the lower body.
|
|
|
+
|
|
|
+Life took another turn when I relocated to the US in 2023 on a wheelchair, of course.
|
|
|
+
|
|
|
+
|
|
|
+Now, wheelchair has become a part of my living. It is less probable that it would change anytime soon. I really need to work hard on my strength.
|
|
|
+
|
|
|
+
|
|
|
+But until then, I go out with my 3 family members - the boy in front of me, the man behind me, and the wheelchair.
|
|
|
+
|
|
|
+
|
|
|
+Life has been cruel - Nah. It could have been worse. It has not been easy as well. But I hope to make it.
